It fills me with joy to be able to share these words with you. When I read these testimonials I’m reminded of how important you all are to me and how much I love what I do. Many of my couples pop back to my website and look at their blog posts or images on this site, so thanks to those who take the time to send these.  After you’ve looked at all your photos, I get super, giddy happy to open an email or card from you and wear a smile all day!

Sharon was one of the best choices we made!

Raves

As someone who hates having their photo taken I am happy to say that she put us at ease and throughout the day and took some beautiful photographs. The photos of me before I walked down the aisle looking at my parents, really mean something to me. One of my friends turned your photo of us both walking down the aisle with confetti into a puzzle for me – it was fantastic! And we love the photos of our whole bridal party!! Sharon Cooper was one of the best choices we made about our wedding day.

Thank you so very much, Sharon. I love how you embraced our strange traditions with each other. We love our photos, thank you!!!!! You were so amazing with my 6 year-old niece who followed you around all day, she still speaks about you over 6 months on!

Enchanted garden Events Wedding Letchworth Sharon Cooper

We don’t really know how to quite express in words how much we love our wedding photographs and slide show. They are utterly perfect. Every time we look through them all we get to re-live each magical moment and our hearts are energised by the same happiness and joy we felt on our wedding day. You know how much I dislike having my photograph taken but not only did you help me to relax and feel comfortable, you captured photos of me that I truly love. I felt beautiful and your photos proved it to me! I thought that was impossible. Thank you so much for helping me to feel so amazing on my wedding day.
Our guests loved you too! They said you felt like a friend who happened to have their big camera. That’s exactly what if felt like to us as well – our fabulous friend and wedding photographer Sharon Cooper.
Thank you for introducing us to Zena, and we loved your excitement, support and enthusiasm. We had the best day of our lives and the best party too. Thank you for wearing my favourite ‘Sharon’ dress too – You are AWESOME! In fact you are the most kind, thoughtful caring and FUN photographer EVER! Thank you for being you.

Her  eyes are constantly seeking the next picture.

Garden festival Wedding Hertfordshire Sharon Cooper

We typed ‘Hitchin photographer’ into Google and looked through a dozen or so websites but Sharon’s was the one that gave us ‘that feeling’ from the beginning. After a chat over Skype we knew she was definitely the perfect person to capture our day. She came to meet us near our flat in Surrey Quays for our pre-wedding shoot which was great fun! Her relaxed and playful style rubbed off onto us as we walked around the docks, her eyes constantly seeking the next picture. She kept in touch, dropping in the day before the wedding to see the venue which was my parents garden and we even went on a much needed walk to escape the growing family! On the day it was as if we had gained another friend, she fitted in seamlessly, organising when required then becoming a chameleon! This allowed us to do our thing and enjoy the party whilst she captured the day and the moments we missed… and wow did she!!! She surprised us with a video of our wedding highlights which we have watched on repeat. The photos are incredible but it’s Sharon herself that makes us recommend her as a photographer, her beautiful, warm personality along with her enthusiasm and passion for telling the story as it happened. Thank you SO much! <3 <3 <3

Sharon really goes the extra mile

Wedding at Blazing Donkey Sandwich Kent

We met Sharon at an alternative wedding fair and she caught our eye immediately in her rainbow dress (perfect for our wedding!). As we talked (both in person and over email) her kindness and enthusiasm made it clear that she would be the perfect photographer for our wedding.
Sharon is nothing but supportive and interested and really goes the extra mile to get to know you as a couple to ensure that your photos are as personal as can be. So many guests commented on how lovely and friendly she was at the wedding, and even in the slightly crowded bridal suite she managed to squeeze subtly into little corners to capture all the special moments.
Her aftercare is also lovely and it’s great to have someone who is enthusiastic as you about the day you get the photos back!
Thank you so much Sharon, we really cannot express how grateful we are that we chose you to capture our special day Raves Louise & Frank xx Blazing Donkey, Sandwich Kent

We all felt very relaxed in such professional hands

Redcoats Barn wedding photographer Sharon Cooper
Sharon was recommended to us by a mutual friend and we couldn’t have asked for better. From the first time that we met for coffee, to the ongoing bond that we now have with Sharon, she has been a joyful presence.
During the year before our wedding Sharon regularly contacted us,not only to deal with the practicalities but also to get to know us and the story behind our romance. This meant that on the day she understood the important aspects of our day, our relationship with each other and our newly formed family.

On the day Sharon was a wonderfully calming influence, especially when my jacket tore! She was always there but totally unobtrusive. We all felt very relaxed in such professional hands and we loved the way that she suggested unusual and eye catching shots.

There were some lovely little touches both on the day and in the weeks after that demonstrate how Sharon’s clients are not just clients, they become her friends. We are very glad to be able to call Sharon our friend and we would thoroughly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing wedding photographer

Her down to earth nature, immediately relaxed us

Raves

We had known of Sharon for years, it was a joy to have her photograph our special day. She came highly recommended by lots of mutual friends. Browsing through Sharon’s portfolio, and subsequently meeting her over a coffee, we immediately knew she was right for us. Her approachability, fun sense of humour and down to earth nature, immediately relaxed us when it came to our having our photos taken. She has an eye for things that other photographers may not see – from the candid smiles between guests, to the lovely woodland shots of us, where she encouraged us to be ourselves and imagine she wasn’t there (no not like that!) Our outdoor tipi wedding had a hand-crafted festival vibe (we’d made everything ourselves) so it was extremely important to us that the photography captured this, and conveyed the colour, fun and laughter. Sharon did this in bucket loads. The little extra touch of having a few immediate Polaroid shots on the day was also fantastic. The mark of a great photographer is that you are almost unaware of their presence. And this is Sharon. She seamlessly fitted in with the day – like having one of your guests with a camera, capturing those winning shots that serve as memories for years to come. Thank you Sharon. We are thrilled with the photos! They summed up our magical day perfectly.

Sharon just manages to keep on giving

Redcoats Barn Wedding Hertfordshire wedding photographer Sharon Cooper
We knew of Sharon through family for many years and when we saw her photographs of a family wedding it made us all the more sure that she’d do ours when the day came.
Our pre wedding shoot was so relaxing, which with two kids and a dog aren’t words you tend to use in the same sentence. Sharon was so laid back it just rubbed off on all of us. Not that we needed confirmation of her talent, the pictures were so lovely and captured our happiness.
The lead up to the wedding was effortless, I know how good Sharon is so I felt no need to try and tell her how to do her job. The wedding morning was amazing for me as the bride. Everything I wanted and Sharon didn’t impose one bit. Just quietly went about capturing the special moments.
Throughout the day, I barely noticed Sharon, unless I actually wanted to of course. She was like a guest and that’s exactly how we wanted it. She slipped around the crowd, working her magic with that lens, capturing moments I didn’t manage to see but can live through the pictures.
After the wedding, Sharon just manages to keep on giving. I absolutely whole heartedly could not be happier with my photos. I relived my day all over again and more when we got that magic album through. Having previews – just to keep us going until they were all ready was such a lovely touch.
If you decide to have Sharon at your wedding, I can assure you you’ll not be disappointed. She’s so much more than a photographer.

We were considering not having a photographer

Raves

When we were arranging our wedding we were considering not having a photographer.

However I’m so glad we changed our mind! I looked at a few different local photographers and had followed Sharon on social media for a while.

A mutual friend encouraged me just to see what Sharon was all about and I was instantly impressed. Sharon is not only an incredible photographer, with the ability to capture emotion, colour and vibe so well, she is also the loveliest person who only wants to make you happy and relaxed. Sharon was not only our photographer but a really special part of the day and someone who I now class as a friend. She has captured the memories that we will cherish forever.

You can feel the love and dedication

South Farm wedding in SpringWe knew of Sharon through family for many years and when we saw her photographs of a family wedding it made us all the more sure that she’d do ours when the day came.I had worked with Sharon on a few different occasions for photo shoots, though I admit I’m not the best at being in front of the camera (I like helping to make the people in front of the camera have good hair!). It was after being a model for a friend, I realised just how relaxed Sharon makes you feel, she got the most relaxed and natural photos-my favourite kind!
We had booked Sharon for a family photo shoot and she just became part of the family day and you see her amazing personality blossom, once again creating beautiful photos and memories!
So for me there was no question of who I would have as my wedding photographer…to the extent that I booked her two years before my wedding!I am a very sentimental person and Sharon took the time to get to know my wedding plans and day on a person level, so she felt like she could get the best results for us…and that’s exactly what she did!Sharon works ridiculously hard on a wedding day as it is a very long day to constantly be on the ball. I wanted her to be a part of our day as let’s face it, as the person capturing our memories on film, she is one of the most important people there! Sharon sat at the tables with our guests for the wedding breakfast, all at the table commented on how wonderful and lovely she is, and I know Sharon loved feeling like a guest too!But once your wedding day is over, Sharon starts to work even harder, she spends hours upon hours editing and creating the most amazing photos for you. While of course sending you a snap shot every now and then, and keeping contact made my day! Sharon puts her personal touch on everything and you can see and feel the love and dedication that has gone in to creating her final product.I look back at my photos every chance I can, as there are so many bits of your day that you miss…it’s like the living it all again. Looking at them is looking at the story of your day, a story that you are trusting someone else to help create. I don’t think I could have trusted anyone but Sharon!I don’t think I could ever thank Sharon enough for all the work she put in to creating the photos of my wedding day! And words can not describe Sharon as a person…you have to meet her to truly know this amazing person!Sharon you are more than amazing, kind, caring, passionate and brilliant…they need new words for you! From the Davison Family, Thankyou so much, we love you! xXxXx South Farm Cambridgeshire

Sharon Bloody Cooper.  Our Photographer Extraordinaire.

creative-letchworth-wedding-photography-sharoncooper

We met Sharon at Tie the Knot wedding carnival and out of all the amazing photographer, Sharon and her display stood out the most!

We  browsed through Sharon’s website and read what other couples had written.  Seeing the variety of pictures really helped us finalise what we already knew!  We did not want a photographer that was “traditional” and Sharon’s love of colour/quirkiness fitted perfectly with our Mexican Fiesta theme!  It was also lovely to not feel like “just another client to book”

When it came to our “engagement” shoot, we were really nervous.  I lost sleep over what to wear on the day until Sharon reminded me to … BE MYSELF! We met up in a beautiful woodland area and Sharon explained how she worked. She shoots in a way that when you look back at your pictures, you can remember exactly what you were feeling at that moment!  That really stuck with us!  Having the pre-shoot really helped us to look forward to the wedding and Sharon was just such fun!  We really couldn’t wait to see her again!

It was our honour to be include  Sharon in our seating plan.  Sharon made everything flow smoothly and even remembered our families names, to be able to be creative for 10 hours or more, you need yummy food to fuel that!

One of our favourite shots of us is being surrounded by the colours of the smoke grenades that Sharon brought along!  What a fantastic surprise – she always thinks outside of the box!!! So unique and fitted in perfectly with our colourful day!  Arrrribaaa!

Looking back at our photos, I realised there were many parts of the day that we would have missed.  Sharon arrived early at the venue and captured the stunning decorations and table pieces before it was ransacked!

Tears of joy and laughter were shared looking at all the images that Sharon worked so hard on! Mega.  So happy to have amazing images captured of our friends and family in their element, dancing and enjoying themselves!  Such wonderful memories – what an honour to have met such a splendid, talented human being!

Sharon bloody Cooper.  Our Photographer Extraordinaire.  Not just another service for our wedding.  But now our FRIEND.

Sharon is BRIGHTBUBBLYENERGETICENTHUSIASTICCHEEKY!  But most of all, she really simply is, THE BEST! (I HOPE YOURE SINGING IT!)

There aren’t enough words to describe how grateful we are to have met you and for you to have the hardest job of capturing our personalities through a lens – but you bloody did!

We real life love you, lovely Sharon! Thank you forever – THE ROBINSONS. xxxx

Your charm allowed us to relax

Costwolds_barn_wedding_vineyard_sharon_cooper

We knew from the moment we saw your website that we wanted you to be our wedding photographer. Your sense of joy, fun, whimsy and humour were exactly what we wanted to infuse our event with. During our Skype chat, we felt we “clicked” with you and that you “got” our weird, slightly irreverent sense of humour. We just liked you!

On the day, we got so much more than we could have hoped for. Your presence was a wonderful addition to the party. All our guests loved you, and we both loved having you around.  Despite both being total haters of stereotypical and cheesy couple shots, your charm allowed us to relax and enjoy posing for our pair photos. They turned out so beautiful and far from being awkward, the moments of real connection away from the crowd, turned into some of our most treasured memories.

But apart from loving your presence on the day, you were just lovely I the “aftermath” as well: we loved your little social media sneak peeks and snapshots in the subsequent days, and adored browsing the first few edited shots so soon afterwards. When your final box arrived, it made us sooo happy! It was so thoughtful! And it was wonderful to catch up with you on Skype after we viewed our blog post.

Next we are going to get them put into a few photobooks for ourselves and our families. It’ll be wonderful to have your photos at our fingertips!

Sharon – it’s a pleasure to know you and your creativity and a privilege to have your artistry as part of our lives

Friendly, passionate and calm organised approach

Spring-wedding-South_farm_wedding_photographer_SharonCooper_0001

We can’t thank Sharon enough for her professional, friendly, passionate and calm organised approach to our wedding day. Sharon captured our day perfectly.  We wanted someone who could tell our story through pictures and Sharon certainly did just that. We knew Sharon was the photographer for us when we looked through her website, we were really taken with the way her photographs captured the mood and joy of each individual wedding.  From start to finish Sharon was amazing and completely unobtrusive, I honestly didn’t know she was there half the time – yet she didn’t miss a thing. We were so excited when we opened the very special package from Sharon containing our photographs and we couldn’t be happier with the truly stunning results. The photographs Sharon took are natural, beautiful and she captured every emotion and feeling we felt that day.

You made us feel really special

Hatfield-House-Old-Palace-wedding-photography-sharoncooper

We can’t thank you enough. The whole experience was hugely enjoyable. At the pre-wedding shoot, you made us feel at ease, laugh and think about what we were looking forward to as well as what was important to us about the wedding. It was one of the most enjoyable parts of our wedding preparation. As a result, we felt more relaxed about having the photos on our wedding day than we ever imagined.
On the day itself, we had high hopes. You exceeded those. Again, you helped us to enjoy our day; we genuinely loved the moments we were together with you. The guests also commented on how friendly and warm you were throughout the day. Everyone felt comfortable and enjoyed your company.
During the wedding and in the days that followed, there were so many little things that you did which were really touching. The photos themselves were absolutely wonderful. We’ve had so many people saying how beautiful they are, how happy people look and how they capture moments perfectly. We couldn’t agree more. Looking through the photos makes us so happy and remember how wonderful our day.
Again, not only were you (and your colleague) responsible for capturing our day, you were a huge reason it was so good. You made us feel really special.
Thank you.

I’ve never liked photos of myself but I happily show everyone our wedding photos!!!!

Woburn-wedding-photographer-sharon-cooper_0001

We had the most incredible wedding day, and Sharon captured every detail of it beautifully.

Neither of us are comfortable with being photographed, we simply wanted to enjoy our day without any fuss and have some nice photos to remember it. Oh boy, did we land on our feet when we found Sharon!! Full of colour, and laughter, Sharon’s photos jumped out!  Most importantly for us, we could see how relaxed the people in her photos were: natural and no awkward poses: genuinely capturing a moment.

On our wedding day, Sharon smiled and shimmied along all day. Sharon took control with tricky bits like organising the family for the formal photos but the rest of the day she was a photographer ninja!! She let us relax and enjoy our day to the fullest, and because of that our photos are simply magic- I’ve never liked photos of myself but I happily show everyone our wedding photos!!!!

All the little details and surprises Sharon arranged along the way were little rays of sunshine in the inevitable stress of wedding planning. Even being height of peak season, our photos were with us much quicker than expected- proof it really happened!
We’ve already recommended her to several friends & family, and we can’t wait to have an excuse to have Sharon take more photos in the future. Thank you Sharon!

Sharon was totally on our wave length – we clicked from the off

Oxfordshire Barn wedding boho bride www.sharoncooper.co.uk

We first met Sharon at Tie the Knot wedding fair – we travelled up from Surrey to the event as we were looking for something a bit different and special. And we were lucky enough to meet Sharon who was totally on our wave length and we clicked from the off.

On the day of the wedding Sharon breezed in to the cottage I was getting ready in and became part of the bridal party! Helping me with my flowers, entertaining my niece and capturing some wonderful moments with my bridesmaids and family.

We weren’t keen on the ‘posed’ shots and Sharon completely understood, she put us at ease and I’m so glad we did them, as they are just stunning!  Throughout the day and night Sharon DID NOT STOP!! I’ve never seen someone in 5 places at once and I have no idea how she managed to get all the amazing shots she did.  Our guests loved her and some even thought she was a friend.

I can’t recommend Sharon enough – she is so passionate and incredible at what she does and she makes everything so personal.  She’s absolutely hilarious too and such a great personality to have doing one of the most important jobs of the day.
Thank you Sharon for EVERYTHING……we will miss you!!

She was as much as a guest as she was our photographer

Cambridge_barn_Wedding-photographer-www.Sharonooper.co.uk

Having known Sharon for a number of years and seeing her wonderful work for me there was only one person I wanted to capture our wedding.

Ella only had to meet Sharon once to feel the same.

The effort that Sharon goes to to ensure that you are comfortable on the day is second to none and just to ensure this there is the option of a pre-wedding shoot. During this time we had some wonderful photos taken up an alley and in a churchyard at night, sounds as random as it does but Sharon created some great photo’s.

Onto the wedding, Sharon was as much as a guest as she was our photographer. Which enabled the guests to feel at ease and therefore capturing some great in the moment photo’s. We had the standard wedding photos taken as you would, however one of our things we wanted was a bloody great party and also to capture these moments as they happened.

One of the great things about Sharon is that she does a lot of ground work in the lead up to the wedding, visiting the venue and noting where and when good photos can be taken.

We now have a fabulous selection of photos of the day from the traditional to the not so traditional and it’s all thanks to the wonderful Sharon Cooper

Our guests loved her, we highly recommend her

Sharon was the photographer at two of our friends weddings. Both of them recommended her highly and we totally understand why. She really takes the time to get to know you and understand the type of pictures you’d want. We are both pretty reluctant photo subjects but Sharon is great at putting you at ease and has a talent for spotting those intimate natural moments. It was a joy to have her as a part of our wedding day. Our guests loved her and we already have had people asking for her details. We absolutely love the pictures she took. Sharon presented them in such a personal way which made us feel really special. She clearly loves her job and this shows in her pictures. We would highly recommend her to anyone!

Her relaxed, fun personality; incomparable, exceptional skills fitted into our wedding theme and vibe

south farm wedding photographer sharon cooper_0001

We first met Sharon at my brother’s wedding in August 2015, in this time we were able to observe and be part of a wonder woman working her magic. She was joyful, caring, spontaneous and downright fun! 2 short years later, when it came to our own wedding, we knew there was no-one else we wanted to capture our special day.

On the day, a brisk, overcast January morning, Sharon arrived with a smile on her face and absolutely raring to go. She effortlessly captured the natural moments, blending into the crowd, as well as putting us well and truly at ease during those ‘posed’ shots. Something that will always stand out with us (which our guests to this day also commend) is the time she took to get to know our family and friends. It was wonderful to see her do this, showing she saw -and thus captured- them as the hearts and soul of a special day, rather than merely photographing them as strangers in a room on ‘just another’ wedding day. This unique, caring nature meant that she too became a cherished guest.

We couldn’t be happier with every image we have received and are so SO glad Sharon was a part of it. We continue to look back at our photos and are delighted with each individual moment, emotion even, she managed to catch: slight glances, nervous faces, make-up touch ups, teeth checks and even the delicate moment of the Groom tying his son’s shoelace. On a whole, Sharon’s relaxed, fun personality; incomparable, exceptional skills and sheer passion for her work fitted into our wedding theme and vibe like a missing puzzle piece. She completed our wedding and for that we now have perfect memories that we will treasure forever.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Sharon x

She made us feel special, we never felt like just another client

Wedding at Ridings Barn Cheshunt

So we finally decided to tie the knot, booked the venue and then came the task of finding a photographer.  We always knew we wanted someone that could capture the life and soul of our big day without leaving us with a bunch of very stiff formal shots (nothing wrong with that, if that’s what you like!).  After wading through the internet and the vast array of wedding photographers on offer we came across Sharon, and boy are we glad we did! After viewing her amazing photos and reading all the wonderful words other couples had written about her, we knew she was the one, a decision shortly to be cemented by her warm and friendly manner during our initial Skype chat.

In the big business that is weddings, it’s easy to feel like just another client.  That realisation that there are a million other people also getting married and you’re just another one on the list.  Throughout the whole run up, big day and even post wedding, Sharon was always that one step above and beyond, we never felt like just another client.  She made us feel special every step of the way, taking the time to get to know us and understanding all the little details that went into our day to ensure she captured what was most important to us.

We initially weren’t sure about a pre-wedding shoot, there was no pressure from Sharon to do it, but after umm-ing and err-ing we decided to go for it.  It was such a great way of getting to know Sharon a bit more before the wedding day and for her to get to know a bit more about us.  We had initially discussed our love of film and that was enough to get Sharon thinking about a cool location for our shoot.  We were so amazed, excited and overjoyed to receive the news that she had managed to arrange for our shoot to take place in an amazing art deco cinema!! Throughout the experience, Sharon was brilliant at putting us at ease in front of the lens and the resulting pictures were amazing!  Even though the venue was a new challenge for Sharon (it was really dark in there!), the resulting photos captured the rich reds and sparkly golds of a beautiful setting. Looking back, we’re so glad we went with the pre-shoot.  If you’re anything like us, it’s always one or the other of us in photos (outside of the occasional mobile phone selfie which isn’t in the same league as a good photo!).  It was so nice to have our first set of great pictures of the two of us together that we can treasure for years to come (we have 2 framed and adorning our walls already!)

Pre/post and wedding day Sharon was outstanding.  The little surprises along the way were incredibly thoughtful and Sharon felt like much more of a friend than just our wedding photographer (I really hope to keep in touch!).  The feedback from our guests was so positive as well, everyone thought she was so lovely!  But as well as being a delightful person, Sharon’s photos are beyond amazing.  Her passion for photography shines through in all the stunning images she takes.  Her love of colour pops out of in the vibrancy she achieves and her unassuming presence means she’s always there to capture all the little moments that made us smile on the day (even those moments that get lost in the wedding hubbub that you didn’t even realise passed you by).  The pictures of our guests were priceless, for someone that’s never met these people before, she captured their personalities brilliantly.  Our wedding day felt like a whirlwind, however getting to see the photos brought it all back and makes it feel like the day will last forever (they brought tears of joy to both of us as well as giggles at some of the comical moments!).

We are so honoured to have met Sharon and to have shared our special day with her.  It brings us great joy to be able to write our own love letter.  Words cannot fully explain how brilliant Sharon is.  Reading so many outstanding reviews, cynics may wonder what is not being said (everyone only publishes the good stuff right?), well in this case it’s all there.  After having the pleasure of working with Sharon, there is not a bad (or even mediocre!) word that can be said and though we’ve never met them, we honestly believe every word of love from all the other people that have contributed to her love letters is 100% genuine.  Sharon was hands down the second best decision of our wedding, trumped only by the decision to get married in the first place!

A picture paints a thousand words, and her pictures say so much more than we can possibly convey in these words.  We cannot recommend Sharon enough.  It’s not just the fantastic photos, it’s the magical experience.   You will not be disappointed… book her! You will not be disappointed.

Thank you Sharon, we wish you all the love, happiness and success in the world!

Finally getting round to saying a big thank you for the amazing photos of our wedding day aka ‘The best day ever’!

You love your job, this totally shows in the way you interact with guests, stop at nothing for your work….(climbing over that fence at the rose gardens!!! Crazy lady and the brilliant end results.

The day went so quickly and I had trouble remembering it all but luckily your photographs have captured it so perfectly. As you know Matt is not a fan of being in front of the camera and I couldn’t believe some of the great shots of him. You will have to share your secret…I can never get a good one of him! Thank you Sharon for being a part of our day it was great to share it with a photographer who we and our guests felt so comfortable around. I have recommended you to my friends so hopefully see you again in the future.

Keep doing amazing work…I love stalking the wedding photos of your other clients.

She clearly loves her job, you see it not just in her photos but in her whole approach to the pre and post wedding day

kensington-wedding-the-belvedere-sharon-cooper_0062

I am a firm believer in recommendations so from the moment we got engaged and started thinking about our wedding day I was keen to follow this belief. I met Sharon at a wedding, well when I say met I mean saw her, we never actually got the chance to chat. She was the photographer for another friends wedding. I saw her engage with the guests, smile throughout the day and seemed to be enjoying every moment. Then I saw the pictures and we immediately emailed her. Apart from the venue Sharon was the first person we booked, after our Skype chat there was no need to speak to anyone else about snapping our day we knew she would be perfect.
The great thing about Sharon is she clearly loves her job, you see it not just in her photos but in her whole approach to the pre and post wedding day.. I don’t want to give away any of her great extra touches and considerate little things she does before and after the wedding because that would ruin the surprise!
All I would say is this… her photos are outstanding, effortless and unique, she is an engaging happy and talented person.. and I highly recommend you contact her today… you would be crazy not to!!

We are so delighted to have found Sharon in a maze of other photographers. As soon as I saw her photos on a blog I knew that she was perfect for us. She somehow captures the personalities of everyone in her photos and the magic in every scene. She notices the smallest of details and seems to have managed to be there whenever something special happened. The colour and life in her work is incredible. Her photos are modern, different, fresh, colourful, fun and full of love and joy. She goes well beyond the extra mile to get the right shots.

Sharon puts so much of herself in her work and makes an extraordinary effort to get to know you as a couple; I genuinely consider her a friend and not just our photographer. She has such a wonderful personality and it’s been a pleasure getting to know her.

Sharon really is incredibly talented and clearly loves her work and it shows in her photos. People say that choosing a great photographer is one of the most important things you can do on your wedding day and I completely agree. It is such a joy to be able to relive how we felt by looking back on our photos and seeing it all captured there. Now I just need to find another event to book you for Sharon!

She knows what to look for and is in position to get it

Wedding photography St Pauls walden Bury Sharon Cooper

Weddings are definitely stressful. There’s a lot of pressure to get everything just right for the big day. I didn’t quite realize it beforehand, but looking back, one of the most important things to get right is the photography.

These photographs become the basis of future memories, pictures to display at home and gifts to send to family and friends. They are the tangible visual evidence of that magic day as it was long after the guests have gone home and life returns to normal.

Like the venue, the dress, the rings and the cake, the photography is a big deal. The photographs you get depend hugely on who is taking them. There are no second chances and when the day arrives, it all has to happen right then.

So you need someone who is not only amazing behind the camera, but someone who can also react to all the unexpected surprises on the day, someone who manages to catch all the little things and all the magic moments that come and go in a flash. You need someone who knows what to look for and who is in position to get it when it happens.

But being camera shy and uncomfortable being watched and photographed, it was one of the elements that I worried about the most. That meant we needed someone who could manage all of the above and make us feel comfortable and at ease. Like many couples, we also wanted to avoid ending up with photos that felt staged, mundane or embarrassing.

From our experience all the comments about Sharon’s work being natural, creative, flexible, involved and unique are all very true.

Looking back over the photos is an amazing experience but it also takes someone amazing to get those results. More than just photography, it takes a creator of magic visual treasures and if you’re reading this, you’re very close.

We could relax knowing that you really got what we are about

Jewish_traditional_wedding_dance_jump

We just had our first look through the party photos and we are OVER THE MOON !!!!
You really captured the fun and the colour. You’ve found so many lovely, telling characterful moments & details – it felt like we were right back there looking through them. The shot of me jumping across five worried looking men, has been described by many of my friends as the ‘Best Wedding Photo EVER’ : It really is amazing.
My immediate personal faves (apart from that amazing jumping shot) are the ones of my mum, the musicians, and me and Lucy on the dance floor, especially in the Market Theatre. SO many highlights there though – this doesn’t even scratch the surface !
We really appreciated you wanting to get to know us, you seemed to delight in our little quirks and oddities which we loved. All this meant we could relax knowing that you really got what we are about.
Thank you so much, Tim & Lucy xxx

We knew Sharon was the best person for the job as she photographed our sisters wedding two years before ours. We loved the photos then and my god we were impressed when we got to see our own wedding photos! Sharon made us feel so relaxed in front of the camera (something we are not use to, and always feel awkward) she made sure she got every shot to highlight the most important day of our lives. Sharon is so easy to get on with and took a real interest in our big day, she got herself involved in taking pictures leaving the bridal party to get ready. We wanted our pictures to be fun and colourful and that’s exactly how they were. Sharon also made sure she spent some quality time with the bride and groom to capture shots. We didn’t even think we looked that good until we saw how amazing the photos were. When we look at all our wedding photos from the day we relive every single second of happiness, fun and laughter. The photos are absolutely amazing and we couldn’t have asked for anything better! Xxx

Her photographic eye and sweet wit is contagiousWedding at RAC Club Pall Mall London

It was our great luck and pleasure to find and work with Sharon Cooper this Summer for our destination Wedding weekend. We live in the States but decided to accommodate our International group of friends and family by hosting Our three day party in London.
Luckily we managed to secure Sharon for all three days. Her talent for catching the diversity and essence of not only Our Bridal Gang but also the special and uniqueness of the venues was fantastic.
When we first spoke to Sharon we explained that we weren’t so interested in traditional portraiture but more wanted to capture the feel and vibe of the unique spaces from Claridges to St Martin’s in the Fields, The Royal Automobile Club and Masala Grill in Our photos, Sharon left no stone unturned in capturing the joyful days and events.
I would without hesitation recommend her for anyone’s special event. Her photographic eye and sweet wit is contagious,
Thank you Sharon,

Pictures we really treasure, we really benefitted from her experience

Maida-Vale-London-Winter-Wedding_0027

Sharon was so personable, approachable and nerve calming throughout our wedding day. She is clearly hugely creative and has a phenomenal knack of putting you and your guests at ease.

At one point, a car stood between Sharon and her subjects, all grinning from ear to ear with anticipation as we had some group shots taken. Rather than tracking down the owner of the car and pointing out that they’d perhaps parked in the worst possible place, Sharon crouched in front of, lent around, and tip-toed over the offending car, she even used the reflections in the car roof to get us some brilliantly unique shots. Also, while Sharon was performing this great feat of camera limbo, she managed to keep the attention of a few rather restless toddlers and get them in the frame too!

Sharon’s biggest talent is for seeking out what’s special, unique and personal about your wedding, an event you have probably spent an age planning only for it to be over all too soon. The pictures we will really treasure are those where Sharon has captured the little personal details as well as the huge sense of fun that we felt on the day. Part of what makes this possible is that Sharon asks you all the right questions about you and your day before hand, so that by the time the wedding day comes Sharon knows who your VIPs are, that bride’s Auntie knitted her cape, and that the groom’s Mum made the mistletoe and sprout button holes.

We really benefited from Sharon’s experience and flexibility, without her we might have missed out on some of our favourite images of the two of us, taken outside in the last of the winter light just before the ceremony (controversial). Whether its luck, ninja stealth or an eye for a good photo Sharon has an exceptional skill for using the environment and capturing the moment: the two of us by the canal with two swans that just happened to be passing through; the bride in fits of laughter with her best friend; the groom looking adoringly… at the best man; the bride showing off her dress with the help of a fan come wind machine.

It is also worth mentioning Sharon’s professionalism and speed after the event. Within a few days, 20 edited and varied photos were shared on Facebook to remind us and our guests of how much fun it had been. It was then a stress free wait for the full 500+ photos.

We had a fantastic wedding and Sharon has gifted us with permanent reminders of a great day. We would not hesitate to recommend Sharon to others looking for reportage style photography from a personable and skilled professional.

In summary, Sharon said to us beforehand ‘Trust Me’ – we did – and it all turned out brilliantly!

You were like a photo Ninja…the shots are amazing

Lake-district-wedding-Rydal-Hall_0047

We knew Sharon was our photographer straight away, as soon as we saw her portfolio of previous wedding we knew that she would be able to catch our and our guests personalities and our style. We didn’t want formal photos but photos that meant something personal to us, that captured how we felt and that captured the beautiful surrounding we were in. We of course looked around and got some other photographer details but we already knew we were going with Sharon and thank god we did as we have got the perfect record of our wedding day. It can be nerve-racking having such personal photos taken but Sharon makes you feel at ease immediately, it helps going on an engagement shoot as it gets you used to the camera and it is also nice to meet and get to know Sharon better before the big day. We can’t thank you enough for the hard work you put in, working from morning until well into the night. Sometimes you were like a photo ninja, we can’t quite understand how you got some of the shots you did but they are amazing. We knew we were going to get great photos from you but what really impressed us was all the lovely details, lovely finishing touches and the care and thoughtfulness you showed us and our family. Thank you so so much for everything.

Subtle and unobtrusive. Incredibly friendly

chelsea wedding london red bus_0003

We first met Sharon at ‘A Most Curious Wedding Fair’ in Hackney and we immediately knew she was the photographer for us. She was incredibly friendly and chatty and after showing us her portfolio we knew that she would understand how we wanted our day to be captured. We didn’t want our photos to looked staged or awkward- especially since neither Dan or I feel particularly comfortable in front of a camera, so really wanted someone who would make everyone feel relaxed and at ease on the day. But we also wanted someone who had a special artistic eye and noticed all the little moments and details, which might otherwise have been missed. And we found our gal!

From start to finish Sharon made us feel completely at ease. In all honesty we were somewhat apprehensive about the idea of a pre-wedding shoot to begin with, but we could not recommend it more! Not only was it a great opportunity to see Sharon’s work, but it was also a great way to get to know her and also feel more comfortable in front of the camera. It’s all good preparation for the big day. Sharon was great at making us forget that she was actually snapping away!

On the day, she was brilliant. She was with us from when we were getting ready in the morning and struggling to tie ties, to dancing round like headless chickens in the evening. And all the while smiling and clicking away.

Our guests only had great things to say as well which was great to hear. She was subtle and unobtrusive which made everyone totally relaxed around her, which of course then made for great natural looking photos!

Sharon has the unique ability of capturing all the little details which you had probably thought no one would notice, apart from yourselves of course, so it makes all your hard work worthwhile knowing that she spotted those things too.

The way she delivers the photos is also incredibly special – I won’t spoil it for future couples but that’s definitely something to look forward to!

We would definitely recommend Sharon to anyone who wants their photos to look natural, effortless, and to really capture the real spirit of their day. She knows what its all about.

In a few weeks she will be taking some family snaps of us all again and we couldn’t be happier to have her behind the lens!

She’s a natural, engaging and incredibly talented photographer

Secret-garden-wymington-wedding-SharonCooper_0101
Some friends of ours recommended Sharon to photograph our wedding and we weren’t disappointed. We wanted someone who was relaxed and down to earth, who would capture those special moments that weren’t too staged and she did just that.

From start to finish Sharon put us at ease, meeting us for a pre-wedding shoot to find out about us as a couple and to give us a flavour of her style, and then making sure we had thought about all those tiny little things that help make the day run smoother. On the day she was just brilliant – from dashing to fetch some forgotten deodorant for a slightly stressed bride to engaging with and having a good giggle with all our guests, so many of whom commenting on how great she was. Sharon incorporated lots of lovely little surprises both on the day and in the weeks after, which made you smile from ear to ear.

Sharon has a particular skill of being able to capture special moments without you feeling any undue pressure, and blended into the scenery to create her art. She worked her socks off all day to get the shots we wanted, and even stayed later to get some nighttime pictures that were stunning. We have many lovely memories of the day and the pictures were delivered and packaged with such attention to detail. We would thoroughly recommend her services to any other couples who are looking for a natural, engaging and incredibly talented photographer

Full of great ideas, passionate about what she does

Hitchin-wedding-fabios-gelato_0029Deciding who to choose to capture our special day was quite daunting, we wanted someone who would catch natural glimpses and moments of our day that we simply didn’t notice or see, as well as someone relaxed and not too bossy! We searched for a local photographer and Sharon was recommended to us by a friend. The first thing we did was look at her portfolio and we fell in love with her photography style, relaxed and not at all staged, right up our street.

Upon meeting Sharon to discuss the details of our wedding we knew instantly she was the right photographer for us. Warm, friendly and relaxed, passionate about what she does and full of great ideas and creative thoughts, and we were not disappointed our photographs speak for themselves and Sharon has captured the essence and emotion of our day perfectly we will cherish our photos forever and are so grateful we met Sharon. Han and Fab xx

Our expectations were sky high – and somehow even they were exceeded

Almshoebury-wedding-Sharon-CooperWhen we were looking for someone to capture our day, our way, we knew we wanted someone who was fun, quirky and creative who would share our vision for unstructured photographs and create images that really reflected who we were and what our wedding was all about. Having worked with Sharon before, we knew it would be her before we even needed to think “who will our photographer be!” It was like having a really close friend at the wedding taking our pictures in a way that just ‘got us’.

Right from the get go – Sharon put us at ease.  She took the time to find out about us.  Who we were. What made us tick, what we liked and used that knowledge alongside her technical expertise to set up a pre-wedding shoot that was simply perfect.  We were snapped in places that we love and now have pictures that we love to match.  It set our expectations for the big day sky high – and somehow even they were exceeded!

What’s truly great about Sharon is that she is a real people person and blended into our day.  This meant that nothing ever felt staged or deliberate.  Simply beautiful shots that told the story of our day. She was fantastic with the children at our wedding and took time to capture them, never easy with running around/slightly unpredictable/not posing small people! And, she really paid attention to the tone of the day and capturing images that felt part of the day.  Natural.  Instinctive.

Our favourite shots are when she knew the sun would be going down and whisked us away to get some early evening sun mingled with a gorgeous landscape.  You couldn’t write or predict that.  Sharon instinctively knew when and where to get the very best pictures for us.

And, if all this wasn’t enough… our pictures were packaged up in to a lovely little gift box with extra treats just for us (I can’t tell you what they were – you’ll have to see when you book her!) We loved every minute of Sharon being such a big part of our wedding. A new friend that has now become a firm friend.

She was like a Ninja, don’t look anywhere else

redcoats-farmhouse-wedding-verity-andrew_0027

When looking for a photographer for our wedding, we wanted someone chilled out, that would enjoy the day, but also someone who loves what they do and that can sense a great shot in that making. Sharon was everything we were looking for and more.

We hadn’t had our photos taken professionally before, plus we wanted to get to know Sharon more and vice-versa, so we opted for a pre wedding shoot. This was really fun, at Butterfly world in St. Albans we were soon at ease, we got so much out of this and really got a feel for Sharon’s work and we felt proud that she had chosen us as well!

Come the big day, Sharon was at our venue early, our wedding planner was blown away by her professionalism, they actually said ‘Sharon’s already here checking working hard, she is by far the best photographer I have seen here. She knows exactly what she is doing.’ What better recommendation than that!?

When my nerves had kicked in Sharon somehow found me and talked me through those worrying moments before I saw my bride. She then took some photos of me with my best men (& woman) and really relaxed us all. It definitely helped me smile and a photo I like to keep in my wallet to date is one she took at that moment.

Throughout the ceremony and reception, Sharon went about her photo taking with Ninja like stealth. I had no idea where she was! That was the great thing; she took all the great angles with little fuss and definitely displayed her eye for a good photo. The colour, the garden and the natural moments that we shared were captured so well. We are still looking at photos and thinking, WOW! Sharon’s skill simply blew me away.

Sharon’s sneak peek’s were fantastic for us to relive the day straight away. We soon had our wedding photos and loved our personally packaged box with some thank you gifts as well! Amazing!

Looking back now, we are so grateful to have found the perfect photographer for us. We are so happy to have shared our story and those moments with Sharon. For everything you have done for us, thank you. If you are reading this, no need to look anywhere else, you won’t regret choosing Sharon.

“She’s very flexible…we are delighted with our photos”

Raves

The personal service offered by Sharon was fantastic. She took time to find out about us as a couple and what we wanted from our photographs. On the day she was very flexible and went along with a couple of last minute changes to the plan, jumping on the Tube with us and capturing some unique shots. Ours was a very small wedding and she made our 11 guests feel at ease and took some wonderful, natural shots. We are delighted with our photographs and feel that she has given us a great record of the day which reflects the joy and happiness of the occasion.

“We would recommend her service to anyone”

Bluebell woods wedding Verity_James

We chose Sharon because she is an artist of photography rather than so many who just ‘take photos’ We felt that despite being so talented she offered a very reasonably priced service. What she did for us didn’t just stop at taking the photographs, but she ensured that the real story of our wedding was told from start to finish. She clearly put in background research into things like travel time between our three venues and scoped out the sites beforehand. She made sure everything was perfect. After our wedding the service didn’t stop there, she put together a package when she presented our photos with tailor made mementoes that reflected our day, and even treats for our two dogs who were with us in the Tipi. We would recommend her service to ANYONE.

Though we’ve thanked you many times, we will never be able to tell you quite how grateful we are for the imagination, effort and sheer creative heart that you poured into or day of days. In the world of Harry Potter, Albus Dumbledore has an enchanted bowl called a Pensieve that preserves memories.

“Fabulous from start to finish”

From the start, finding a good photographer was at the top of our list when we began planning our wedding. We had been to a few fairs and had seen some nice work, however, none of it was quite us…then we met you, Sharon!!! I was literally blown away by your beautiful and unusual photography – it was stunning and I knew we had to have you shoot our day!! From start to finish you were fabulous! We not only loved your work, we also love your personality and got on with you so well.

YOU have truly captured the magic and happiness that we both felt on the day of our wedding! You’ve made me cry (tears of joy)! I absolutely LOVE our photos and kind words on our blog post. You’ve captured the happiness and love perfectly. You are with your weight in gold and diamonds!! Everyone has commented on your general loveliness! I know we will look back on our photos for the rest of our lives and be able to feel the happiness all over again!

“Magnificent and tireless”

A huge thank you for your fantastic photography (and practical support – none of our buttonholes would have stayed on without your pinning experience!) at our recent wedding at Saltwell Towers. You were simply magnificent and tireless – we knew you were everywhere on the day but now we’ve seen the photos we know that you were in “everywheres ” we weren’t even aware of!

The thing we think you do best (apart from the technically and artistically brilliant photos of course!) is to engender trust in people. We knew and trusted you anyway so that when you persuaded us out into the night for “an idea” you’d had we knew it would be worth it – and it was! But there are all sorts of people at weddings ( ours was no exception ) and you managed to get everyone at ease and used to your presence so you could get some cracking shots of people who have claimed in the past that they “take a bad photo”! You even managed to coax Alfie into some fantastic shots – a major achievement as Irish Terriers are excitable at the best of times and ours hadn’t seen us for two days!

Meeting you for a preshoot was a really good idea too – we’d recommend that to other couples who you’re working with. It all just helps to make the wedding photographer one of the things you don’t have to worry about on the day! The information and follow up you gave was also great – clear and professional. As you know, we’d happily recommend you to anyone who wanted a photographer for their wedding ( or any other celebration) or who just wants some great portraits. Once again, thank you!

“Committed, made everyone feel special”

The moment we met Sharon we knew she was the photographer for us. She was wonderful, with great ideas for our day and she wasn’t just about the images, she truly cared about what we wanted and how best to tell the story of our wedding day through the photographs. She listened to our every want and helped us plan how we could involve that in her imagery. Our pre-wedding photo-shoot was great, even the little things mattered, like where we placed our hands and how we communicated to each other, all this was shown within the photographs while still getting the best out of the location we choose. She researched where we were getting married and the reception venue, and although she had visited the site previously (Butterfly World in St Albans) she still went back to make sure everything would work well. She kept in contact with us right up to our special day and we involved her in our preparations, keeping us constantly informed and at ease. On the day Sharon was kind and friendly with all our family and friends, she made everyone feel special and it really showed in the photographs she took. She was helpful and courteous, and got so many amazing photographs while still remaining unobtrusive, and in turn letting us enjoy the day for what it was.

Everything we wanted came true and she was so careful to show this in our wedding photography. We couldn’t recommend a better photographer, if you want someone who is all about you and your partner, and is completely committed to giving you the most excellent memories from your special day then Sharon is the photographer for you. She will use her skills to give you the best imagery while still making it fun and exciting. Thank you Sharon for all you have done for us, we will never forget it and when we require family portraits and party photography in the future we will be knocking at your door!

“Even *we* couldn’t have asked for more”

A huge thank you once again for all your hard work and creativity, and for giving us such wonderful images to remember our wedding day. When we started to plan our wedding, we knew that finding a photographer was a huge priority.  We had huge expectations to boot, but to say that you simply fullfilled those would be an understatement. Not only did you beautifully record our wedding, but you became part of it. We bounced ideas off you and you befriended our guests, putting in ridiculous amount of time, thought and effort.  And after it was all over you provided the perfect pick-me-up in the form of a stunning set of photos and an ongoing friendship.  Really, even *we* couldn’t have asked for more!

“Relaxed and fun”

Date set, venue booked, next on the list was asking Sharon to record our day. Knowing her work, her attention to detail and her great composition skills, we knew she would capture our hotchpotch wedding perfectly. Neither of us felt that comfortable in front of a lens, but Sharon’s relaxed, fun direction soon had us thoroughly enjoying ourselves. Trusting your photographer is everything. Sharon knew the efforts we’d gone to and her amazing images mean we’ll never forget the greatest party we’ve ever had. Through every shot the story was told and the heart and soul of us laid beautifully bare for all to see.

If you can guarantee booking just two things, make it Sharon Cooper and the weather.
