Rohan and John met at Glastonbury, they love festivals so they organised their own! It was the obvious choice for their wedding day it reflected their creativity, love for all things festival and celebrated the fact that they met at one. I loved the romantic idea of it all and it truly was one hell of a well-organised, festival party! Their venue was a perfect choice for their day; The Secret Garden at Wymington, is an amazing hidden space, full of trees and so secluded, teepees camping area but it took some planning! In the lead up to their wedding, they told me about the things they’d organised, festival flags, an airstream, an impressive booze tent, tipi camping and a silent disco! Those guests were in for a treat! Rohan’s family home is in an adorable village in Bedfordshire. I got very excited I approached early on the morning of the wedding and saw a field of cows with the 13th century chuch in the background.
After the church ceremony, we stopped off at Grebe Lake for some photos, en route to the Secret Garden. Rohan’s lovely mum Jackie took some of her doves to the venue for the couple to release. The whole day was amazing, everyone was feeling the love, there were smiles and a lot of fun. Rohan wore a smile all day, they were both so happy for it to be their wedding. Rohan’s elegant floaty dress was designed and made for her by one of her bridesmaids. The bridesmaids wore 50s style in a pretty and bold floral print. Take a peek at the story of their day and I bet you smile…
