If you are getting married soon, I hope these words reassure you of my commitment to you amongst all the current worries of Covid-19. Firstly… I am fit and well and have every intention of being at your wedding. By explaining a little more about emergency cover procedure (which has always been in place) I hope to ease any worries you might have about what might happen in all this unknown.
Precautions I’m taking
I’m healthy and well and doing everything to stay that way, I’m following the guidelines and being sensible. I’ve never missed a wedding and don’t plan to! I am being vigilant about hand washing and face touching and I’ve added in routines to clean my camera equipment throughout the day. I have Isopropyl alcohol wipes ready to use – I’m as prepared as I can be. It’s not in my nature to be negative, so I approached this in the most positive organised way I can.
What happens if I get sick?
If I get Covid-19 symptoms ahead of your day, I will do the responsible thing and fully isolate myself. If I’m unwell I will stay away. I will not leave you without a photographer. Since I started photographing weddings I have belonged to an incredible network of super talented photographers. Many of these are those who second shoot with me, and have become firm friends, we totally look out for each other! More so now than ever we have made plans, joined forces and we now have a strong, trusted ‘Emergency cover’ contact group. I would arrange someone else to cover and they would hand me the images to edit and the rest of the process and aftercare would happen as before.
What if you postpone
If it comes to this for you, and your wedding is postponed or changed I will work with you to make sure I can still be part of your day. If you have to move your wedding to another date this year, providing I’m free I will happily still be part of your day.
Talk to me
I hope this has helped to alleviate any concerns you might have and highlight my commitment to you and your big day! I’ll keep an eye on government advice and keep my lovely couples posted. If you have any questions about anything here or any other aspect of your wedding, please message me, I am here if you want a chat, give me a call, or we can book in a Skype chat.
