Whooppee!! I’m super excited to tell you that I’ll be exhibiting at the UK’s best and most alternative wedding fair in Birmingham this year. This November, this month! The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza is returning to The Bond in Birmingham to bring to you a fantastic array of everything that is different, creative and EWEnique in the world of alternative weddings. This has proved such a popular wedding fair and for 5 years, EWE has brought together unique exhibitors and couples alike; showcasing the UK’s most diverse and talented suppliers in the alternative wedding world. You can tell why Im excited to have been invited to exhibit, right???
Aren’t all wedding fairs samey?
Nope! Not this one! If you are starting to plan your day, then look no further, come to THIS wedding fair. It really is fresh, creative and YOU! One of my couples told me; “We had been searching for wedding things on the internet and spend ages doing just that, but it was really great to personally meet wedding suppliers face to face”
Who organises this fabEWEless alternative wedding fair?
The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza is a genius idea and the very best joint venture from Jo from The Couture Company Sassy from Assassynation Photography and Yasmin from Curious Coco Designs. It’s partnered with Rock and Roll bride and Mr and Mrs Unique. If you’re into your wedding planning all these are names that you will know about!!
Where about’s is the wedding fair ?
This year’s eclectic wedding fair will be in one of the most unique venue’s in Birmingham. Located in the heart of Digbeth, Come and find us all in The Bond Company. The Bond Company is amongst some historic renovated buildings so its all cool looking and there’s a canal-side café,too. The Bond is an oasis in the heart of Birmingham, it was where these photos were taken at last year’s amazing event.
What wedding suppliers can I find there this year?
There are a whole host of amazing suppliers, many of whom I love and recommend myself, here is a link to over 60 suppliers who are hard at work, behind the scenes creating stuff for those of you who want something a bit different! there are dress designers, wedding rings, venue stylists, cake makers, florists, photographers, stationary designers, food and drink, hair and make up artists, DJs, accessory creators, entertainers, videographers, menswear designers, celebrants and SO MUCH MORE. Theres no teeth whitening or diet sales or pushy stall holders, just a warm friendly fun welcome awaiting you! I’m coming up with my great friend and super talented stylist Alice from Fleur De lace.
Plus Erica from Mr and Mrs Unique will be there and Kat from Rock and Roll bride, who says it is THE WEDDING FAIR and the only one she is doing this year!
Is there a catwalk show?
Kind of!! Fashion shows can detract from all our chatting and browsing with suppliers. But the ones at EWE are totally different! On Saturday there’s a ‘Fashion Walkabout’ meaning wherever you are at that point you’ll be able to watch it. On the Sunday they have Real Couples Parade, designers ask their past brides and grooms to come and model (in all their beautifully diverse glory). That could be YOU next year!!
I’m coming with a friend, what else is on?
You can try out the fabulous photo booths, enjoy the brass band madness or get your game on and have a play at the gaming stations. If you note all the ‘sheep puns’ you’ll see theres the famous ‘Sheep treasure hunt’, you might want to checkout a, workshop or a demo or eat from the the street food folks and relax and enjoy some fizzy concoctions at the specialist wedding bars. Mingle with all the Bad Ass Mo Flo’s (thats us stall holders) and if that’s still not enough, there is a Christmas Market where you can buy original and unique gifts and treats for your wedding AND Christmas. I’ve been checking out all the suppliers and will be hoping for a chance to make some purchases myself!

I’ll be so excited to chat to you about your wedding, and have been working on lots of stuff to bring and treat you to (oh yes freebies – come and find me) Look out for some massive hanging cameras and LOTS of colour, that’ll be me! Plus there is a cool ‘Sheep hunt’ so you need to come and find mine on my stand too…so excited about that!!
