Happy childhood photos of boys playing in a natural Spring in Ashwell. Ozzy, Lucas, their mum and I went off for an adventure, it was lovely to watch them play in the cold water at Ashwell Springs. This tucked away medieval village dates back to before the 11th Century and features in the 1086 Domesday Book. The water rising from these Springs feeds the River Rhee – the main source of the River Cam. It’s clean and mighty cold, but never higher than 11°C. Both boys were really playful and loved splashing and hopping across the stepping stones. We all ended up quite wet, and left with these truly happy childhood images.
It was a pleasure to share and capture these moments for them.
