Katie and John’s wedding was a glorious celebration of love and family unity. After a long courtship, two gorgeous sons and a relocate from Wales to Bedfordshire, they wanted one heck of a party and to get married too! They chose a marquee for the reception which Katie had completely filled with old furniture, vintage teapots and candleabras, pretty fabric and lovely home made details. Their table plan was unique! Each table name was a place or area from back home, or a phrase of a Welsh place they like to visit. The bride and groom’s table was “Up the Mem’ which is their shortened name for the local disco in Wales where they met way back in 1989! Speaking about the decor prior to the wedding Katie said “If it ain’t a ditzy print, it ain’t coming in” The men all looked fabulous in Blue Linen jackets and chinos. Katie looked amazing in her Ian Stuart dress and silver shoes. The whole venue inside and out was decked out with heavenly flowers everywhere, hydrangas, peonies, roses, and lots of pretty foliage. Take a look at the home made cakes with awarded rosettes they looked delicious too! I guarantee you will drool! Here is a selection of the images from the day.
