Pre wedding shoot in Greenwich – Gita and Dom

Greenwich to ourselves! Gita and Dom chose a pre wedding shoot in Greenwich London! And I loved it! I really enjoy London photography and pre-wedding shoots in London are a fab excuse to explore and have fun! I met up with Gita and Dom who are getting married this year. Dom told me how Gita had found my website whilst searching for a wedding photographer and had fallen in love with all my colourful images, she’d excitedly told him “I’ve found our photographer!” How nice did I feel, knowing that? What starts out as a small connection between us, just grows as the wedding day gets nearer. I truly am lucky to call this my job, and get as excited about a forthcoming wedding as you do! Greenwich is where this couple asked to meet me; “….Can we meet in London, we’d love our pre wedding shoot in Greenwich – it’s special to us both” Gita told me. It’s a favourite place for me too; but choose a beautiful sunny Spring day like we did and the world and his wife and heaps of tourists are sharing your space! I knew that meeting early would help, so I took an early train and and these photos are taken before the crowds flooded in.

We met at the Cutty Sark, moving on to the beautiful elegant iconic steps at the Old Naval College. There were a few little heart flutters from me, as Dom twirled Gita around, imagine that, that dramatic open space yet they confidently smiled at each other, like they were on the dance floor. Often couples say they feel like I’m not there, an observer, catching real emotion, just like I aim to on the wedding day. After a quick coffee stop at Greenwich market and some more chatting about the wedding day, we headed to Greenwich park with it’s gorgeous pink blossomed trees in full bloom.

A pre wedding session is great for a few experimental shots, and the couple gazed into each others eyes as I fired off a few in camera double exposures, which you can see here too! Here are a few of my favourite frames!
